In addition to the work on Hydroxychloroquine, L&#8217;Express highlighted the absence of legal authorizations or the disregard of scientific ethics in studies conducted on minors, homeless people or students of the University of Aix-Marseille who underwent vaginal swabs. Offences that could be punishable by penalties of several thousand euros, or even imprisonment. Although the French National Agency for the Safety of Medicines (Agence Nationale de sécurité du médicament et des produits de santé, ANSM) and the University Hospitals of Marseille (AP-HM) have indicated that they have launched internal investigations, both organizations have not yet rendered their verdict.
